Lead Fitness Educator
Shape the next generation of coaches with practical, hands-on workshops at our Western Sydney campus. Mentor, assess, and inspire real-world impact.
ONECOACH ORIGIN
One Playground has always believed that coaching is one of the most powerful ways to change people’s lives.
OneCoach was created as our dedicated coaching brand, built to raise the standard of Personal Training and deliver exceptional coaching experiences for our members.
OneCoach Academy is the next evolution of that mission: our education pathway for aspiring Coaches entering the fitness industry. Through the Academy, we help students build the knowledge, practical skill, confidence and real-world experience required to become industry-ready fitness professionals.
ONECOACH PHILOSOPHY
We believe great Coaches are developed through more than theory alone.
A strong Coach needs technical knowledge, practical skill, communication, business acumen, professionalism, confidence, real client experience and the ability to keep learning. That is why OneCoach Academy is built around a practical-first education model, combining online learning with in-person workshops, coaching practice, mentoring and real-world experience inside One Playground clubs.
Our goal is to help students move beyond simply becoming qualified. We want them to become capable, employable and confident Coaches who are ready to make an impact from the moment they enter the industry.
WHAT IS ONECOACH ACADEMY?
OneCoach Academy is One Playground’s external education brand, delivering nationally recognised industry qualifications and professional development programs across fitness and wellness.
Our flagship product is the Certified Coach Program, which includes the SIS30321 Certificate III in Fitness and SIS40221 Certificate IV in Fitness. The program is delivered through a practical-first model, combining online learning with in-person practical workshops, coaching practice, mentoring and real-world experience inside One Playground clubs.
The Academy is designed to help students move beyond simply becoming qualified, supporting them to build the practical skill, confidence and professional standards required to succeed in the fitness industry.
The Lead Fitness Educator plays a key role in bringing this experience to life.
THE ROLE
OneCoach Academy is growing, and we are launching practical delivery for our Certified Coach Program at our Western Sydney Campus, based at One Playground Merrylands.
As Lead Fitness Educator, your mission is to help shape the next generation of fitness professionals through practical, hands-on education. You will lead Saturday practical workshops, support student development, provide coaching feedback and assess students against the practical requirements of the Certificate III and IV in Fitness qualifications.
This is a practical education role for an experienced Coach, Personal Trainer or fitness educator who wants to make a bigger impact in the industry by developing aspiring Coaches.
You will deliver the OneCoach Academy curriculum as provided, while bringing your own coaching experience, facilitation style and real-world examples to the learning environment. The role is more than session delivery; you will help create a consistent, engaging and professional student experience at the Western Sydney Campus.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Practical Delivery
Lead the practical delivery of the Certified Coach Program, bringing the OneCoach Academy curriculum to life through hands-on workshops, real coaching demonstrations and your own facilitation style.
Teach and model the practical skills that define a great Coach - technique, cueing, communication, professionalism and client interaction.
Create a practical-first learning environment where students apply their training in real gym floor scenarios, upholding OneCoach Academy and One Playground standards throughout.
Student Development & Feedback
Champion student growth by building coaching confidence, practical skill and industry readiness in every session.
Provide clear, constructive feedback that helps students sharpen their coaching delivery and connect theory to real-world practice.
Partner with the Head of Education and Student Success Specialist to keep student progress, attendance and support needs front of mind.
Practical Assessment
Assess students against the practical requirements of the Certificate III and IV in Fitness, capturing performance evidence accurately against the relevant units of competency.
Complete observation checklists and assessment records in line with Academy and RTO requirements.
Support students beyond the workshop, through in-person observation, live assessment or online review, to build their assessment readiness.
Campus Delivery & Standards
Oversee a safe, organised and professional workshop environment, from setup and equipment through to gym floor readiness.
Lead and support Academy Mentors at the Western Sydney Campus, maintaining consistency across student experience and delivery standards.
Champion continuous improvement by flagging delivery issues, operational needs or opportunities to the Head of Education.
